Dear Friends
You, our amazing community of supporters, have made 2017 a year like no other for IAHM as we work together to document and celebrate the Indian American experience.
This was the year of our major effort to date in preserving the history and promoting understanding of the diversity and rich culture of all Indian Americans. D id you view the Smithsonian's Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation exhibition we are co-presenting at the Field Museum until January 7, 2018? Perhaps you attended one or more of the many vibrant programs we held in conjunction with the exhibition. IAHM has been proud to work with all of you to make this exhibition a success.
And there was so much more....
The Cricket and Kite Flying Mela in Barrington
The September Gala featuring Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and
the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra
The special screening of "Unbroken Glass"
The benefit performance for IAHM of Natya's "Bharathi:  My Mother"
at the Hindu Temple
The presentation by sari historian Rta Chisti at IAHM's "Unstitched"
The Ethnic Dialogue sessions where participants come to better appreciate
our culture
And above all,
This was the year of an extraordinary act of generosity by two members of the community who announced the gift of space for our new home!
We need your support to sustain this gift and make it an exciting space where we continue to document, celebrate and share the many ways in which Indian Americans contribute to the American mosaic. Whatever the ways in which you have connected with us, we hope you have found the experience stimulating and rewarding. Your donation, in any amount, will help us continue to create meaningful exhibitions and present ever more exciting programs in 2018.
And if you would consider establishing a lasting legacy, please contact us at [email protected] so that we can share with you our vision and details regarding naming opportunities in our new home.
Thank you for all you do for IAHM and for being a part of our family. We wish you peace and prosperity, and a joyous holiday season.
Happy New Year!
With warm regards,
The B oard of Trustees
