The Gloves Come Off!
One of our favorite questions we get from readers (and by readers, we mean creeps at the gym who approach us) is, "Why boxers?" The real answer is: we don't know. We liked the visual, and it seemed appropriate given that when we opened we were also holding illegal boxing matches. (Note to police: this is a joke.)
This July, we're going all in with the boxing imagery. We've conditioned our bodies, built up our endurance and stared at the pictures of our enemies, Rocky-style. Pound for pound, July will be the funniest month in Austin comedy history. And it's all happening at ColdTowne. Also, we'll be spitting in a bucket every 3 minutes.

Hustle Up!
The Hustle Show is Coldtowne Theater's smash hit monthly comedy variety show, featuring sketch, stand-up, games, and other mayhem!
Since it's debut, the Hustle show has sold out every single one of their regular Thursday night at 10pm shows. Because of that, we're giving them a promotion. Every Saturday at 8:30pm in July, The Hustle Show will perform a solid hour of their very best material.
Brought to you by the finest gathering of Austin's comedic minds this side of I35. The Hustle show features FPIA finalists, as well as cast members from Mascot Wedding, Master Pancake and Your Terrific Neighbors.

Bad Boys vs.
Elevator Action
Thursdays in July, two of ColdTowne Theater's best improv groups -- Bad Boys and Elevator Action -- share a double bill of titanic proportions!
If you've been living under a rock, Bad Boys have garnered acclaim as one of the best improv ensembles working in Austin, playing to sold out houses across the city. One of their members has become internet famous from a series of viral videos from the folks at Humordy.
Similarly, Elevator Action has been blowing up -- though mostly in out of town markets. This Summer they've performed in Minneapolis, Dallas, New York City, and Oklahoma City. Their not internet famous, YET.
The Thursday night Social Club at ColdTowne also boasts people's favorite feature: free booze. |
