National Dog Week will be held September 24 - 30 this year. It is a celebration of dogs, what they mean to people and the ongoing task of improving life for all dogs. (Pictured here... The Giving Tree mascot... 'Finn')
Since 1928, Americans have been celebrating man's best friend. This is a great opportunity to get your dog-loving children involved in helping animal shelters and rescue organizations. Maybe do a collection of old towels or food. How about creating braided dog toys with a baggie of treats?
Join us Saturday November 11th at the Wissahickon Middle School from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for our 8th Annual Working Hands Project. The day will be filled with hands-on projects and activities that support our mission of teaching children about giving back and community service. Look for more information in next month's newsletter!

Become a Teen Ambassador
Our Ambassadors Club is now forming for the 2017-18 school year. The club is open to students grades 6 - 12 and will meet once a month. This is a great service opportunity for students who need service hours for religious affiliation, honor society, school projects or just because. It's a great way to meet youth from other schools and share ideas.
Our first meeting will be held Tuesday September 19th from 4:30 to 6:30 at St. Rose of Lima in North Wales. Come check it out! Click here to send us questions or to sign up for the club!
Come out to see us on Saturday, September 16th. Bethlehem Pike will be lined with vendors from 10:00 AM til 4:00 PM. The Pike Fest will include live performances from local bands, large bouncy inflatables, local artisans, restaurants, food trucks and more! Stop by our booth! For just $6, your child can create a Peace & Smiles Box ® for a child in need.
