Upcoming Meeting

Join us at our next meeting

April 5, 6:30-8, HW Library

We'll be discussing our upcoming town-wide infrared scanning program with Sagewell, Inc.   This program will identify the buildings with the greatest potential for saving money from energy efficiency improvements such as insulation. We'll also kick start our Spring Garden Series with a seed-starting demonstration for home gardeners. (it's that time of year!) And we'll discuss the evolving 'Grow a Row' program that we're planning with the Accord Food Pantry.

We're also planning to giveaway lettuce and carrot seeds for people who can grow an extra row for the hungry. Seed Swap - We may also offer a seed swap event at our May meeting  - if you are interested email  greg.horner@gmail.com

How can record snowfalls be caused by global warming?  Record warm weather, according to physicist Michio Kaku, can heat the oceans and generate more moisture, which in turn can drive larger storms, producing more snowfall. As global warming increases, we can expect record snowfalls to be more common.
