Nature Walk with George Walter
It's not too late to sign up for our Nature Walk with special guest George Walter, this Saturday, July 27th from 1 to 3 p.m. We'll be at Tatrimima at Wilcox Flats, a staff favorite on the Nisqually River, outside Yelm.
This is an easy walk of less than a mile through upland forest down to the graveled banks of the Nisqually River. It's a perfect spot to watch birds, listen to the water flow by and hear about the geologic forces that shaped the watershed. Knowing George, he'll have stories about the people and partners who joined the Land Trust in protecting our beautiful places, like Tatrimima.
Two additional Nature Walks are scheduled in August: Trestle Farm at Yelm Shoreline in McKenna on Saturday, August 17th from 9:30 a.m. to Noon, and Hogum Bay near Olympia on August 20th from 10:00 p.m. to Noon.
To register for Land Trust Nature Walks or for more information, please contact Sheila Jackson at firstname.lastname@example.org
or 360.489.3400 ext. 110. The walks are free but registration is required as space is limited.
