Happening at Temple Beth Israel
We hope that you can join us for these upcoming events.
This Shabbat, we will be holding services in a new and inviting setting. We will be arranging the social hall so that we are closer together with fewer empty seats. This setting will also be used for Selichot which will take place later that evening.

This set up was used during our most resent Friday night service and it was well received.

Now in its second century, Temple Beth Israel is a caring community where each person truly makes a difference. Whether you’re the 10th at a weekday minyan, or participate in our varied social, educational, religious, cultural, and family programs, we welcome you and your family to Temple Beth Israel for the 2017-2018 year.
As approved at its annual meeting in August 2016, Temple Beth Israel welcomes non-Jewish members of Jewish households to join the synagogue with their Jewish spouses or partners in a family membership. Privileges of membership are specified in the Temple Beth Israel bylaws.

Membership
We welcome all members to give at a level in which they are comfortable, and ensure the congregation will meet its budgeted expenses.  In assessing recommended
membership contributions for the coming year, the Board of Directors has elected to keep the  sustaining membership model introduced last year. We calculate this  sustaining amount by subtracting from our total annual operating budget the amount of income available from sources other than membership and High  Holy Day pledges, and then dividing the difference by the expected number of members.
