Sermon on
Sunday
What Becomes Us in the Potter's Hands
If we are clay and He (God) is the potter, what might become us if we truly allow ourselves to be in His hands. Might God squeeze us a little? Could we be turned in every direction on the wheel of life until finally, a piece of art arises so magnificent, that it brings glory to the POTTER? Of course there are different varieties of clay in this world. Some so stiff they remain the clay they are, never becoming the something more. Never becoming the vision of the Artist of all artists. The Potter wants to mold you into a masterpiece. He's not finished with you yet. He's only just beginning.
Lord, have mercy on us, the stiff clay that we are. We commend ourselves to You once again to be your people. Mold us, shape us into Your image. May we truly be your disciples as we count the cost to follow You. Amen.

Thank you for remembering to stay current with your tithing pledge as well as with Faith Promise/Mission giving. In June, giving has improved with both tithing pledges and missions giving at slightly more than half of the yearly budget plan. Missions giving is now more than halfway to the annual goal of $185,000. While tithing pledges are on plan, non-pledge giving is below budget and likely will remain so throughout the summer months. We appreciate you remembering to stay current with your stewardship giving during the summer.

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child has collected over 100 million shoe box gifts since 1993! How big is 100 million? If you set up an assembly line to pack 100 million shoe boxes, you'd have to finish 10 boxes a minute, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for almost 20 years! All we want YOU to do is pack one or two shoebox gifts! 2016 is the year of 500+ shoebox gifts! Decide now to make a commitment to St. Michael's Operation Christmas Child and start purchasing back to school items. Every box needs basic school supplies: crayons, markers, scissors, composition books, pens, pencils and pencil sharpeners. Check out the following website for detailed information.
Is God tugging on your heart wanting you to volunteer?
