A Public Informational Meeting on
the Seventh Avenue BID

Organizers of the proposed business improvement district on Seventh Avenue are hosting an informational meeting where the public can learn more about and share their opinions on the BID. The session is set for:

Tuesday, March 5, 7 p.m.
Greenwood Baptist Church
461 Sixth St. (at Seventh Avenue)

The Park Slope Chamber of Commerce, elected officials, and community groups are seeking to create the new local BID to help improve the cleanliness of our streets and sidewalks, beautify and green the area, produce promotional events and materials, and provide additional security through storefront cameras and volunteer patrols. The proposed district includes all properties fronting Seventh Avenue from St. Johns Place to 16th Street, including contiguous side street commercial properties.

If you have any questions about the proposed BID, visit www.parkslope7avebid.com or e-mail [email protected]
Founded in 1896, the Park Slope Civic Council is one of the oldest civic associations in Brooklyn. The Civic Council's mission is to enrich, support, protect, and advocate for Park Slope's thriving population and its essential neighborhood character. We encourage community building and development through a series of fun, educational, and beautification events such as the well-known Children's Halloween Parade, the Clean Streets campaign, efforts to transform Grand Army Plaza and the Fourth Avenue corridor, and the annual Holiday Toy Drive. The popular annual House Tour generates thousands of dollars to facilitate our sponsorship of valuable non-profit institutions and projects.
