Vino Bella News

March is a busy month at Vino Bella and we have a lot going on in the next couple of weeks.  For starters, this week we welcome Troy Shaw on Thursday, Shaggy Sweet on Friday, and we finish the week with On the Level on Saturday.  I hope you can come out and enjoy some great food, wine, and entertainment! 

Looking ahead to next week, our next wine tasting is with Tempest Sol and is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, with Winemaker Gus White.  See the Wine Club and Tasting Events section for more information. 

March's Comedy Night is scheduled for March 21st and tickets are currently on sale.  More information on the featured comics can be found in the Upcoming Special Events section.  Call 425-391-1424 for reservations.

Back by popular demand, on Wednesday, March 28, we'll once again host The Dating Game and put a few bachelors and bachelorettes on the hot seat!  Mark your calendars and join the fun!

Troy Shaw

Join us this Thursday evening, as Troy Shaw returns to play his soft interpretations of classic British rock including Eric Clapton, the Beatles, Sting, Cream, Peter Gabriel, The Kinks, The Moody Blues and much more!
 
Troy has played in several British rock tribute bands in the Seattle area, first with The Nowhere Men as drummer, and currently with The British Beats as vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist.
 
Troy brings us songs from the softer side of British rock - starting from the beginning of the 60's invasion with the Beatles to newer groups like Crowded House.  Don't miss it!

Shaggy Sweet

Songwriters with a genuine, obvious enthusiasm for their craft can't help but attract an audience. For this simple reason up and coming soulful singer/songwriter, Ben Ekstedt, is on his way to earning a multitude of devoted fans. His inspired songwriting and passionate stage presence establish him as a formidable force in the music industry.
 
Ben has been involved in various projects prior to seeking a solo career. Over the past few years, he has focused his attention on breaking into the scene and has gained interests from Independent labels, established songwriters, and producers.  Backed by an amazing group of musicians, Aaron Hiebert on electric guitar, Jason Edwards on drums, and Josiah Bogle on bass, the band, named Shaggy Sweet, is sure to exceed all expectations.

We have a great time when On the Level plays at Vino Bella and we're pleased to welcome them back this Saturday evening!

On The Level is a variety dance band and consistently entertains the crowd with old school R&B, classic rock, and blues.  There's something for everyone!  

Get ready to dance, this is going to be a fun evening of dancing and entertainment!  Don't miss it!

Our March Comedy Night is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 with headliner Susan Rice and featuring Xung Lam and host Todd Armstrong!

For over 28 years Susan Rice has been a 'chatterbox" for a living.

In 1983, Susan began her comedy journey on a small stage at the Leaky Roof Tavern. Her words, her story.  In 1986, Hollywood called and she packed her VW Super Beetle and off she went. While living in LA, she landed several comedy shows, all of which were national network shows.

In 1989, The King of Laugh-In George Schlatter sold ABC a stand up dominated comedy show called "George Schlatter's Comedy Club!"  It was Susan's first television credit and it would lead to others; Comedy Express on Fox, Comedy Club Reunion and the premiere week of "The Pat Sajak Show" on CBS, Rice then moved onto cable and did Evening at the Improv, Showtime Comedy on the Road and the Showtime Allstars show plus Comedy Centrals Stand Up Stand Up

It has been quite a ride for this "chatterbox" from Longview WA. Her career as an actress and a standup comic has spanned over 32 years. Her greatest feeling is the moment her audience recognizes her as someone familiar. "Its almost like a private joke between them and myself, it's wonderful." 
 

Our feature act, Xung Lam, is a veteran comedian whose set has been described as spotless and packed with jokes that run the gamut without leaving the audience behind.  We're also joined by host Todd Armstrong.

It's going to be a great night of comedy with Susan, Xung, and Todd.
