From Sharon...this week: Early Fallout from SCOTUS ruling on same-sex marriage: Those who favored the ruling minimized or mocked the assertions that such a ruling would open door to remove tax exempt status for churches. But, Katie Pavlich, writing for TOWNHALL, validates mine and others' predictions... "Just days after the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that gay marriage is a constitutional right, progressive activists like Mark Oppenheimer of the New York Times are calling for tax exempt statutes to be stripped." "Meanwhile, the ACLU said over the weekend it will no longer defend the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in the 1990s after a unanimous vote in the Senate. "Although Justice Kennedy did carve out an exception for religious liberty in his opinion on same-sex marriage last week, it won't be enough to protect it going forward." Why won't it be enough? Because it's an opinion, not a ruling.
Last week I talked about the tipping points that have allowed the Obama administration to advance a gay rights counter-culture. Pavlich ends her article saying the same thing...this is a tipping point.
This week on the show we'll be talking about the early fallout from the SCOTUS rulings on both same-sex marriage and ObamaCare. Among my guests are Dr. Michael Coffman, author of "PLUNDERED." and Phyllis Schlafly, author of "The SUPREMECISTS." For those who are interested in endtime events, it's interesting to note that following this ruling and the Pope's signing a treaty acknowledging the 'State of Palestine' over against Israel, over the weekend, Greece's banks closed; the world markets were hit by it; and a China-led global bank system was unveiled. Join me and my guests this coming Sunday for @ 3:00pm-5:00pm PDT on KMYC AM 1410, as well as streamed live @ www.kmycradio.com. For all other venues please visit www.changingworldviews.com.
