FROM GAYLE
Summer Greetings!
Last weekend we had a booth at the YSU Arts Fest.   On Saturday we also had tours of the church.  Thank you to everyone who helped.  It was great fun and we made many new friends.  We handed out post cards of our stained glass windows, free cold water, and coloring pages for kids.  We talked about the concert  on Wednesday and the upcoming speaking engagement with NPR's Scott Simon.  People were so impressed with how much we have to offer.  There are many ways to engage people with church.

I noticed that attendance at our services were great last week.  I think in difficult and scary times people need to gather for prayer and mutual support.  We are so blessed to have a loving community to rely on.  Pray for and invite those who are seeking the foundation of Christian community that brings so much comfort and hope to our lives.

See you  Sunday!  Gayle+

4 - 6pm - YOUTH GROUP @ Christ Church, Warren
Most of you have seen the news and have heard of the new hit app Pokemon Go. It has been bringing people together from all walks of life, regardless of religion, race or creed, and with the current political climate in the country I think that something like this is a fantastic idea. So this Sunday we will be having a Pokemon Go Meetup at Christ Church, Warren and exploring the areas in and around the church. It is a family friendly event and students are encouraged to bring friends and family!

We will have hot dogs and soda for everyone to have before we head out. In order to participate you must have an internet capable device with a data plan, the Pokemon Go App, and a fully charged phone!  If students do not have one, they will be teamed up with someone who does so they can share in the fun!

Fr. Scott Gunn, of the Forward Movement is currently developing resources for churches around the Pokemon Go craze. So as the become available I will share them with you.
