National
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is celebrating its 25th year of
Awareness, Education and Empowerment. A world with less breast
cancer is a world with more birthdays. That world gets closer and
closer at every American Cancer Society Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer walk. Join Hofstra for this inspiring event to honor
breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about the disease, and to
help save lives. With every step taken, we will be giving people
facing breast cancer hope and power.
The
walk will take place on Sunday, October 17th. We have groups going
to both Central Park and Jones Beach. For every participant we
require a donation of $5 (or more!), and the first 75 people to
register for each walk will receive a FREE t-shirt. Sign up in 260
Mack Student Center by October 8th . Sponsored by: Office of
Student Leadership and Activities (OSLA). For more information
please contact: Kimberly Rhyan at (516) 463-6914.
