    LET'S GO METS! Spring training is in full swing and players, managers and teams are gearing up for the 2011/2012 Major League Baseball Season. Your opportunity is here to see your own New York Mets for FREE on April 10th against the Washington Nationals. Come out and Explore Next Door at Citifield. Signups will begin Wednesday, March 30th in the Office of Student Leadership and Activities at 11:30a.m. Limited tickets available so don't get left out.

    The Spring END trips are open to ALL undergraduate students. Students are required to pay a $10 deposit to hold their spot. Your deposit is refunded when you attend the event. Students must cancel by 9 am three business days before their scheduled event by contacting the Student Leadership Office in 260 Student Center at 516-463-6914. Any student who fails to cancel within the cancellation period will have to forfeit their deposit.

    ASQ-LI's Fifth Annual Lean Six Sigma Symposium. 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Mack Student Center, Multipurpose Room. Undergraduate and graduate students interested in computer science and information technology are invited to attend the ASQ-LI's Fifth Annual Lean Six Sigma Symposium . The event is composed of a set of activities, where students can learn from industry mentors important Lean, Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma concepts. Students will have a chance to network and gain valuable advice from hiring managers. Professionals will be happy to review resumes and provide interview advice.     75 Stories for 75 Years. 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. David Filderman Gallery, Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library, Ninth Floor. In celebration of Hofstra University's 75th anniversary, this exhibition, guest curated by Geri Solomon, assistant dean of special collections and Hofstra University archivist, is drawn from the University Archives collection, which focuses on the history of the University, and highlights 75 stories from the University's past. Through the use of photographs, original documents, memorabilia and objects, the exhibition tells the stories of William and Kate Hofstra, the University presidents, and Hofstra students, faculty and staff. Included are anecdotes and descriptions of events that many will have forgotten, such as: Who were the founding sisters of Alpha Theta Beta? Over the past decade, the West has focused plenty of attention on Japanese otaku (obsessive) and kawaii (hyper-cute) cultures, as represented through manga, anime and other visual arts. The 16 artists in Bye Bye Kitty!!! don't fall prey to conventional aesthetic tropes but rather comment on the sociopolitical status of Japan through painting, video, installations and other media.
