One of the blessings of my seminary education was the time I spent working as an intern. My internship church welcomed me in and gave me the daily opportunity to try on the hat of ministry. I helped lead worship, visited shut-ins, taught Bible studies and participated in staff meetings. I am grateful that Saxe Gotha is also committed to providing the same kind of experience to young people who are also exploring a call to the ministry. Please find below an article written by one of this summer's interns, Bryce Long. Bryce is an active member of our church and will be attending Anderson University this fall.
"As I reflected back on my 8 weeks here on staff, I was filled with joy and gratitude. The opportunity given to me this past summer (and past 5 years) have been extraordinary. Y'all truly do not look down on those who are young, and for that I thank you. As I was reflecting, I felt compelled to write a short little article on Church Work entitled "Church Work; Not Perfect, but Necessary" Thank you for all y'all do for the church and for the kingdom."
Thank you Saxe Gotha for investing into the Next Generation by supporting our interns. Please keep all of them in your prayers as they return to college this fall.
Grace and peace,
