NEWS: It's Not Too Late! Join Our Summer Reading Program
 
Children (Preschoolers-Grade 3) -- Read 5, 10, 15, 25, 35 and 50 books to earn prizes all summer long!  Register online and keep track of your books HERE.

Children (Grade 3-Grade 6) -- Read a book, win a prize!  Read 3 books, win another prize!  Earn raffle tickets for all books read to win even MORE prizes.  Register online and keep track of your books HERE.

Teens (Grade 7-Grade 12) -- Read all summer long to earn prizes!  Register online and keep track of your books read HERE.

Adults -- For every book you read this summer, the Friends of the Library will donate $1 in your name to the library's 'Adopt-A-Book' Fund. All participants will also be invited to a reception in late September, featuring a popular author. Summer reading logs are available at the Main Desk.  You can also register online and keep track of your books read by joining our 50 Book Challenge HERE.

Online Resource Spotlight: Chilton Library

The Tewksbury Public Library offers residents more than 100 online research resources and databases. One of the library's newest additions is Chilton Library. When it comes to auto repair, "do-it-yourselfers", students and automotive enthusiasts have trusted Chilton repair manuals for years. Now, these authoritative manuals are in a simple-to-use, online resource that's available 24/7 wherever there's an available internet connection. E-Book Spotlight: Tumble Books

The Tewksbury Public Library encourages residents to access free e-books through its six e-book platforms, including Tumble Books. This platform offers animated e-books for kids, including puzzles and games. Explore Tumble Books HERE


Museum Pass Spotlight: Fine Arts Museum

The Tewksbury Public Library provides residents with more than a dozen discount passes to area museums and zoos. One of those passes is for the Museum of Fine Arts.  The pass admits up to two people at a cost of $10 per person.  Without the pass, admission is $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and students (18+), $10 for youth (7-17), and free for youth (6 and uner)!  Learn more about the pass program, or reserve a pass, HERE

Community Partnership Spotlight:
Drug Abuse Awareness Speaker Series

The Tewksbury Public Library strives to build and maintain strong relationships with non-profit and charitable organizations in the community, and with the various boards, committees and commissions in town. The Tewksbury Public Library has partnered with the Tewksbury Police Department and CareWell Urgent Care of Tewksbury to organize a drug abuse awareness speaker series at the library. These talks are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm.

This Wednesday, July 16 at 7pm, Louie Diaz, Reentry Case Manager at Lowell House, will talk about the relationship between gangs & substance abuse. This talk is free and open to all. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction or if you are a professional working within the area of addiction, we encourage you to come. Register HERE.

The library would also like to thank CareWell Urgent Care for its recent donation which allowed the library to purchase 30 brand new books on addiction.   

How You Can Help Your Library This Week:
Complete Our Survey To Help Us Plan Better!

The Tewksbury Public Library takes great pride in the support it receives from patrons, donors, and volunteers. This week, staff is again asking the library community to take an online survey HEREThe answers to these 20 questions will help the library evaluate its services and plan for the future. The library also asks respondents to share the survey with Tewksbury friends and neighbors.  Paper copies are also available at the library's front desk.
