March 1
, the election ballot will include renewal of existing school taxes, which were
voted in back in 1927 and 1950.
Voting FOR the 1-mill and 4-mill renewals on March 1st will
keep our schools at the current funding level (these are NOT new taxes)
.
Voting against will decrease the current funding level and result in severe cuts.
A Citizens Review Has Been Completed
Following three months of an independent review, the 24-person Community Advisory Task Force reported the Baldwin County Public School System desperately needs these school taxes to be renewed on
March 1st just to continue to fund education in the county at its current level.
