Spring has Sprung in North Baldwin and there is so much fun to be had for everyone! Check out what's going on This week in North Baldwin:
The Mayor's Prayer Breakfast group is sponsoring a Public Form from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  April 7 at Bay Minette City Hall. The forum will serve as an opportunity to discuss ways to be proactive in handling situations with youth.

"Providing positive mentoring and role models for our youth is a growing concern not only locally but nationwide," Mayor Bob Wills said. "Discussions regarding this issue at a recent Mayor's Prayer Breakfast meeting lead to the decision to hold a forum where people throughout the community could voice their thoughts and opinions on how to help create a better environment for our young people with public officials and clergy who deal with these types of matters on a regular basis."

The forum will have a moderator and discussion panel and the public is encouraged to participate as well. "The intent is to come away with some positive ideas to be implemented which will be a benefit to our youth and as a result to our entire community," Wills said.

Mayor Wills will open the forum and Retired Judge Robert Wilters will serve as the moderator.

Serving on the discussion panel includes: Police Chief Clarence Crook, City of Bay Minette; Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack, Baldwin County; Judge Scott Taylor, Baldwin County District Court; Principal Craig Smith, Baldwin County High School; Superintendent Eddie Tyler, Baldwin County Public Schools; and the Rev. Derrick Bishop, Delivery Ministry.

The Rev. Edna Dixon, who leads the monthly Prayer Breakfast, will welcome everyone at the public forum. Chaplain Robert Gates with the Bay Minette Police Department will give the invocation.

Bay Minette City Hall is at 301 D'Olive Street in Bay Minette. For more details call 251-580-1625.
