It's a rainy but wonderful Wednesday, so be sure to check out what's going on This week in North Baldwin:

The  North Baldwin Relay for Life 2016 event will take place this
Friday, April 15th from  6pm to Midnight in the
Gym at Faulkner State College in Bay Minette!

16 Teams have been fundraising for the cause and will be setup the night of to walk during the event because cancer never sleeps. This year's theme is
"Paint your World Purple because cancer knows no borders."

Teams will fill the gym with purple and each team's campsite will be decorated in different country themes from around the world and even Neverland and Outerspace will be represented!

Opening ceremonies begin at 6pm and will include our annual Survivor lap where we celebrate our survivors and they take the first lap of the event. There will be food and games at the different campsites, the luminaria ceremony will take place at 9:15 where we will remember those we've lost to this disease and honor those still fighting, following the luminaria ceremony we'll pump up the music and take part in a "Fight Back" lap as we encourage everyone in our community to keep fighting!

For a little fun fundraising we will be hosting our Womanless Beauty Pageant at 10pm where we will crown Miss North Baldwin Relay and Miss Relay Diva and the crowd decides those winners through cash donations to each contestant and cheers. The closing ceremonies will take place beginning at 11pm and teams will be recognized for their hard work in the fight against cancer. We will award the Biggest Bank, Rookie of the Year, Taste of the World, Best Flag Pole, the Paint your World Purple Award and more!
