Pathways Thru the Prayer Book.
Monday, July 24
7 pm to 8 pm

Tradition teaches that Shabbat was created for humankind to experience the Garden of Eden.  What better way to be uplifted by Shabbat than to spend some time exploring its beautiful liturgy.  This course will uplift us and help us better appreciate the prayers that we recite at Shabbat services.  Come learn their meanings and origins.  In doing so together we will reach deeper levels of meaning.

Each week, we will focus on a specific prayer.  We will even try our hand at writing a personal prayer.
Each class stands on its own and does not require Hebrew reading.

8 pm to 8:30 session
This class follows the prayer study with Hebrew practice.  Some Alef Bet recognition is needed as we become comfortable with the prayer we studied.  There will be transliteration available.

The Liturgy of the High Holy Days
Mondays, August 7,14,21

7 pm to 8 pm session
Come be uplifted by the beauty of the High Holy Day liturgy.  If you have ever wondered about the meaning and origin behind the prayers, this 3 week course is for you.  Together we will explore these beautiful, blessings and prayers. Each week, we will focus on a specific prayer.  Each class stands on its own and does not require Hebrew reading.

8 pm to 8:30 session
This class follows the prayer study with Hebrew practice.  Some Alef Bet recognition is needed as we become comfortable with the prayer we studied.  There will be transliteration available.
