This week is Shir Chadash Shabbat our monthly musical Kabbalat Shabbat service. Norman Kort will share a D'var Torah.  
 
April 22, Shabbat Services begin at 9:30 a.m.

This week's Torah portion is Parashat Shmini.  Norman Kort will deliver the D'var Torah.

Following, join us for Midrash Shabbat Lunch and Learn. Olga and Oscar Worm, will share insights into an Ethiopian community rebuilding itself, and reflections on the Shaar Hanegev (San Diego's "sister city" in Israel) community.

Havdalah and Yom HaShoah Commemorative Service  
April 22, 8:00 p.m.
Following Havdalah, share a moving Yom HaShoah service featuring a dramatic presentation by members of our Torah School 7th grade class along with a choreographed lighting of 100 colored lights and poems recited by members of our TIS USY group. Rosh Chodesh and Make, Take & Bake
April 27, 7:00 p.m.  
Together, we're stronger! Join us in the kitchen at TIS as our Rosh Chodesh Women's Group combines forces with our monthly Make, Take and Bake Challah group. There is no charge but space is limited and your RSVP is needed. More details are on our site
What's Love Got to Do With It?

An interfaith family (having some family members who are and some who are not Jewish; parents, grandparents or extended family) is more common today than ever before and the questions and challenges are just as common.
