February 12 - 19
The International Day Project is an annual seventh grade activity. This activity is designed to create a mind and heart for Christian Missions around the world. Students should recognize that they have been blessed by God to bless others.
Working with their classmates in small groups to gain a large view of the world. Researching, writing, presenting, developing a news broadcast and interviewing missionaries from their different countries, helps them develop a heart for all people around the world. This project also coincides with our World Missions Conference.
The International Day Project will climax on February 23rd, with native dress, fun and games, and the March of Nations. Guest missionaries will teach and inspire us all to reach the lost. The day will conclude with a wonderful luncheon, with native dishes.

Counseling Services
Getting Ready for Online Course Registration
School counselors will meet with students in their classrooms in February and then share the work done by students on 4-year plans with parents on February 22nd. It is our hope that many questions will be answered in the student classroom sessions and parent session on February 22nd. At that time, if you have additional questions and require a face-to-face meeting, school counselors will accommodate those requests for meetings beginning February 26th.

Because we are asking students to apply for all potential courses, it will be of a greater benefit to both parents and students to hold these meetings after the release of summer school courses and next year’s academic courses.

Important upcoming dates:

  • February 12: Notification of honors placement by email
  • February 14 & 15: Counselors visit classrooms of current 8th and 9th grades for in class registration
  • February 21 & 22: Counselors visit classrooms of current 10th and 11th grades for in class registration
  • February 22: Parent Night for Course Registration
  • February 23-March 1: Online registration is open for changes from classroom registration
