Join us for Rosh HaShanah!
On Wednesday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m., we invite you and your family to join us in celebrating 5778! Erev Rosh HaShanah Services will begin at 7:00 PM. The next morning, we start with a children's service in the main sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. followed by our Morning Service at 10:30 a.m. That afternoon we gather at 4:00 p.m. on Carmel Beach below 13th for our Tashlich observance.
NO TICKETS are needed! All are welcome to attend!

Rosh HaShanah Second Day Potluck
Friday, September 22
Congregation Beth Israel is thrilled to once again invite Temple Beth El's spiritual leaders and their members to join us both for Tashlich on Carmel Beach on the first day of Rosh HaShanah and for our second-day services beginning at 10:30 on Friday, September 22. Following the service, we will join in our social hall for a dairy potluck lunch. Please bring an item to share (no meat!) for our meal that will follow our second day Rosh HaShanah services. CBI will provide beverages, plates, and utensils.

Annual High Holy Days Food Drive
Beginning September 15 through October 9, in support of the Monterey County Food Bank; please bring bags filled with canned and non-perishable foods back to CBI so we may add the mitzvah of Tzedakah to our High Holy observance.
Collection bins and grocery bags to make your donation with, will be in the foyer at CBI.

CBI Rock N' Roll
Celebration
Saturday, October 14, 7:00 PM
Join us for this rescheduled fundraising event. at CBI with Lydia Lyons, Daniel Simpson and the rest of their rock 'n' roll band will perform hits from the 50's and 60's. Come prepared to dance or just enjoy the entertainment.
This casual evening will start with a taco bar and cocktails, featuring the signature "Green-Bomb". Invite your friends and neighbors. This is an event that no one should miss. To make your reservations today, contact the Temple office.
Cost is $54. per person.

Voices of Israel: Stories Untold

October 26 for a special evening, when we welcome two Israeli Soldiers to speak at CBI. Come hear the stories of these individuals, discussing their struggles, successes, military service, hopes and dreams and learn what it is actually like to live in a country that is the subject of so much discussion in the media and on campuses. This event free, all are welcome to attend.
