Thanks to all of our parents who attended our PTSO General Meeting and Middle School Night last week. If you weren't able to attend, but would like to know what was discussed, you can view the presentations on our Facebook page (look under videos). While we would still prefer to see you in person at our meetings, we know that it is not always possible to attend. For this reason, going forward we will stream our meetings on Facebook Live (and we will do our best to answer your questions in real time). We are so appreciative of your interest in our school--in person and/or virtually!
Please also keep your eyes open next Monday for the launch of our
2016/2017 Annual Fund Campaign. Although we will not formally kick off the campaign until January, many parents have let us know that they would like to take advantage of year-end giving opportunities and matching gifts in 2016. We welcome your support at any time of year, and gifts made now will count toward our Annual Fund. Donations may be made by check or online by credit card. And, be sure to let us know if your company has a matching gift program. Stay tuned next week for a sneak peek at our Annual Fund wish list and ways to give.

| SECOND SEMESTER AFTER SCHOOL SIGN UP |
The second semester begins Tuesday, January 17, and aft
er school offerings are now available through our new CLS Parent Portal. Note: None of our programs continue into the second semester; all students who wish to continue with any after school program must register again.
The first step is to sign up for a family account and create a record for each student using the orange "add student" button. Once you complete that step, select the blue after school button to see the brochure and register for classes.

A few notes:
- Several vendors manage their own registrations and payments. After you select one of these classes, you will be directed to the vendor site to register. You are not registered until you complete this step.
- Please sign up for after school no later than Dec 28.
- If you have received, or are applying for, financial assistance, it will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified of your award after registration closes on 12/28/16.

| Special thanks to all of the parents and kids who joined us on Saturday for the Holiday Market and Movie. This PTSO sponsored event raised more than $3,800 for the school through the silent auction, raffle, and spirit wear sales. We also want to thank the vendors (many of whom are Lab parents) who came and set up booths, giving us a chance to shop for some great gift items! Thanks to the entire Special Events Committee for pulling this together. |

| COME AND FIND YOUR LOST STUFF |
| The days are numbered for all items in our Lost & Found. As part of our mid-year clean up, we will donate all items remaining in the Lost and Found on Thursday, December 22. Please stop by and take a look sometime in the next week--you never know what treasures you will find. |
| Don't forget--next Wednesday is a half day at Lab, which means that students will be dismissed at noon. Lunch will be served at 11:00 am; and for that reason, we will stop all early dismissals at 11:00 am. If you need to pick up your child early, you must arrive in the front office before 11:00 am. Buses will arrive at their stops approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes ahead of the normal schedule. Please arrive at the stop early as traffic may be lighter than usual. After school is not in session on this day. |
