Thoughts on Thanksgiving

"O lord that lends me life,
Lend me a heart replete with thankfulness"
-William Shakespeare

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget
that the highest appreciation is not to utter words,
but to live by them."
-John F. Kennedy

"Got no checkbooks, Got no banks. Still I'd like to express my thanks - I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night." - Irving Berlin

"Thanksgiving: Stop everything and appreciate.
Find gratitude - for life, love and even breath."
- Rabbi Sharon Brous

This Sunday:
The Feast of the Reign of Christ

Children Look East!  See Ann Enkiri today to sign up your child(ren) for the Christmas Pageant (forms are on the table at the back of the sanctuary) or email Ann) at sundayschool@ccpk.org.  The pageant is our children's gift to the congregation and a beautiful tradition.  Children from Nursery through Third Grade don costumes and form silent tableaux while Fourth and Fifth-graders read the lessons on The Annunciation and The Nativity.  Together, the children lead the congregation in singing a Christmas hymn.  We celebrate with a festive brunch immediately after the 10 AM  Service.  We welcome the children of friends and family: there's plenty of room at this inn!  Pageant practices will take place immediately following the 10AM Service on Dec. 3rd and Dec. 10th.

Bible Study: Join us at 4:00pm as the Bible study group continues its journey through Genesis.. No preparation needed. For information contact Lee Puricelli: leepuricelli@yahoo.com.
