Eastwood's Got Talent & Chili Cook-off
Join us
Saturday, March 4th at
6:00 PM for our annual
Eastwood's Got Talent and world famous
Chili Cook-Off
!
As you know, the proceeds from this fun night each year go toward financially supporting our Children's Ministry summer camps at Woodlands. How can you help make this event a success?
- Register to participate in the talent show (an individual act is $10; groups of 2 or more are $15) - Deadline to register as an act is February 26.
- Plan to enter your amazing chili into the cook-off to be taste-tested by our panel of judges
- Mark your calendar for this event and plan to come support this ministry, have a few laughs, and enjoy lots of chili!
- Invite friends and family to come!
- If you are a parent of a child attending camp, you can help by planning to serve or clean up for the event.
What can you expect from this event? We will have hot dogs, chips and drinks to compliment the chili. Dinner plates will be a suggested donation amount of $7 per person or $25 family max. Lots of laughs and maybe a few tears will be had (you never know what you'll see). And, you will undoubtedly witness entertainment from the wonderfully hidden talents of your
Eastwood family.
There will also be a silent auction of baked goods (pies, cakes, etc). You can participate by providing a delicious dessert and/or by bidding on one of them on the night of the talent show. Yet another great way to support our kids going to Camp Woodlands.
To enter the
talent show, or if you need any additional information or have questions, please see Kathy Petty or Laura Smith. If you require a music track to accompany your act, please have this prepared on an audio CD before registering.

Kitchen Ministry Needs Help!
You may or may not realize it, but our Wednesday night fellowship dinner is one of our top two most populated and impactful ministries. It is a vital part of the heartbeat of Eastwood, our reaching out and inviting people into our church, and our coming together as family.
Lisa Lawrence and Ellen Elam (and the rest of the crew) serve faithfully each and every week to prepare a wonderful, home-cooked meal, create an atmosphere and environment that is family-oriented, and to welcome each and every person that comes through our doors, like they were coming home for dinner.
This ministry desperately needs help. We need faithful, committed people who simply want to come serve a few times a month in various areas (i.e. clean-up, serving, etc.) If we had enough people willing to serve, it wouldn't be more than twice a month for any one person.
So, is God leading you? Is this an area you can step into and serve our body and our visitors? If so, please contact

Youth Event - Pig Roast!
Attention students! Who would like to go back to Camp Living Stones? Well, we have an opportunity for a fun event, but we need to know how many are interested. Please let us know if you want to attend!
Camp Living Stones will be hosting their
3rd Annual Pig Roast. This is a family-friendly event featuring fun for all ages. In addition to bonfires, live music, and carnival style games, Camp Living Stones will have their 550 ft. zip-line open for some high-flying fun. They
will also have LOTS OF FOOD! No matter the age, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy. So, come and pig out on some family-fun!
Date: Saturday, February 25
Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Cost: $8/adult and $4/kid

Student Life Camp Deadline Coming!
Student Life Camp is coming up in a few months, registration is now happening, and the deadline is fast approaching.
