V-Day Dinner Money Due
Our annual Valentine's Dinner is almost here, and we are super excited about what the night will hold. We have our highest number of people registered ever, so we believe God is really moving in and through this.
It should be a great night for fellowship but also possibly evangelism, as we will have a number of visitors, so as you arrive that night, please come with a heart to welcome and reach out to people.
We've also reached that point where money is due. Please turn in your $45 registration fee to the church office or place it in the offering plate on Sunday (write "Valentine's Day dinner" in the memo line).
Additionally, we've had some people who have asked about supporting the event with scholarships. We do have this need, so if God has laid this on your heart, please contact the church office. God always provides, and we have no doubt He will do so again with this event.

Eastwood's Got Talent & Chili Cook-off
Join us Saturday, March 5th at 6:00 PM for our annual
Eastwood's Got Talent and world famous
Chili Cook-Off!
As you know, the proceeds from this fun night each year go toward financially supporting our Children's Ministry summer camps at Woodlands. How can you help make this event a success?
- Register to participate in the talent show (an individual act is $10; groups of 2 or more are $15)
- Plan to enter your amazing chili into the cook-off to be taste-tested by our panel of judges
- Mark your calendar for this event and plan to come support this ministry, have a few laughs, and enjoy lots of chili!
- Invite friends and family to come!
- If you are a parent of a child attending camp, you can help by planning to serve or clean up for the event.
What can you expect from this event? We will have hot dogs, chips and drinks to compliment the chili. Dinner plates will be a suggested donation amount of $7 per person or $25 family max. Lots of laughs and maybe a few tears will be had (you never know what you'll see). And, you will undoubtedly witness entertainment from the wonderfully hidden talents of your Eastwood family.
To enter the talent show, or if you need any additional information or have questions, please see Monica Barrett, Kathy Petty, or Laura Smith. If you require a music track to accompany your act, please have this prepared on an audio CD before registering.

Men's Retreat - Save The Date(s)
Please mark your calendars as the Men's Retreat is fast approaching. We will once again be returning to
Fort Bluff in
Dayton, TN for our annual retreat. The study, fellowship, and fun should once again be an amazing blessing. Please plan to attend, and please begin praying now for who God would have you invite to join us.
The dates are:
Friday, March 18 thru
Sunday, March 20.
We will most likely be heading up late afternoon or early evening on Friday and returning around lunchtime on Sunday.

Prayer Service - February 21
We will be having another time for the body of Eastwood to come together to pray with one another on Sunday, February 21. It will be for one hour,
4pm - 5pm. The church sanctuary will be open during this time for you to come and go as you please and to pray as you feel led. We hope you will plan to attend.

Early Voting Begins Next Week
This is just a heads-up to let you know that Eastwood Church will once again be a voting precinct for our area. Early voting begins next week, so there will be people in our building from the Election Commission and also from the community. As always, we want to be the light to the world around us and reflect the heart of Christ, but at the same time, we want to allow the commission to do their jobs and people to come, vote, and leave in a relatively quick manner. The majority of the people will remain down in the nursery wing, but you may see people wandering.
The dates of the first round of voting are:
February 10 - February 23.

2016 Proposed Operating Budget
God has blessed us greatly this past year in many ways that are far more important and valuable than mere money, but each year we do put together a budget as a guide to help us be the best stewards of God's money that we can be. The 2015 Budget is posted here, in the church newsletter, and there are printed copies available in the church foyer.
This year's budget includes provisions for what we believe is the next step in our church's spiritual growth and maturity: an increased focus on in-reach and outreach. We have chosen to aggressively allocate more of His resources to help us continue to pursue our mission to...
Gather together to Grow in our faith and Christ-like character, which will then propel us to Go and share God's love and truth with everyone God puts us in contact with.
We already do this in amazing ways, but we want to do it more, to do it better, and to do it more faithfully and courageously. We feel this emphasis will help our body grow in its relationship with Christ in miraculous ways. We are excited.
Therefore, on January 17, we will be presenting the 2015 budget. During these next few weeks, we would like to hear from you and would be happy for the opportunity to answer any questions you might have.

You are welcome and invited to join in with any of these groups and deepen your experience here at Eastwood.
