This Week at Grace

Transitions
Dear Grace,

As the air begins to chill and the leaves start to change their colors, I have been thinking a lot about transition. We are entering a new season together at Grace church, literally and metaphorically. And, it is a season of so much potential!

As we settle into the new rhythms of partnership with Global Ministries, new opportunities are beginning to open up. New relationships are being built. New visitors are walking through our doors. New possibilities lay before us.

Personally, as I ponder these new possibilities-for what we can do and be together as a church-I give deep thanks for the gifts of this congregation. Grace Church is a community full of God's love, poured out in mission, in caring relationships, and in joyful worship. Each one of us brings our unique talents, passions, and capabilities to this church family. And, when we team up, we make something truly beautiful. I am so proud to call Grace my church home!

Over the next four weeks, we will be reflecting on our giftedness in worship, as we begin our stewardship series, "The Gifts of Grace." We will hear from members of the congregation in sermons and testimonials as they witness to the ways in which Grace Church shares its gifts in community. Together, we will explore how we each contribute to Grace's vision to feed our surrounding community spiritually and physically, reach outward in God's love, and intentionally welcome all in the name of Christ.

I invite you to join us in worship this week. And, I hope that, as we journey together through the upcoming weeks, you will consider how you can bring your unique gifts to our life together at Grace.

Grace and peace,

Calissa

Event Spotlight

CREATIVE PRACTICES OF IMAGO DEI
Sunday Small Group
Beginning 10/23 after worship

One of our ministry interns, Jess, is teaching a 4-week small group on Sunday afternoons beginning 10/23, right after the 11am service. This small group will dive into feminist theologies surrounding the Imago Dei (image of God).

Incorporating creative projects, we all will have a total blast! Lunch will be served, and childcare will be available upon request. Please bring $2/person to help cover the cost of lunch.

Contact Jess to sign up and request childcare - jess.cusick@emory.edu.
