MOTHER'S DAY OFFERING
Mother's Day is an opportunity for us to remember and honor special women who have loved and cared for us.

In the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, we are grateful for our relationship with Wesley Woods. One of the ways we support this relationship is with an annual Mother's Day offering. Our generosity helps vulnerable seniors remain in their homes at Wesley Woods no matter the challenges they may face.

At Grace this Sunday, May 13th (Mother's Day), we invite you to join us in our financial support of Wesley Woods' residents. Please make checks payable to Grace UMC with "Mother's Day Offering" in the memo line.

MILK, COOKIES & BOOKS!
Join us for milk and cookies this Sunday (May 13th), following worship, in Grace Cafe!

While enjoying this delightful snack with us, we hope you will consider bringing a donation of a children's book in support of the Children's Summer Book Drive for Action Ministries. (Gently used books are welcome!)

We need books for babies, kids, and even young adults (YA).

If you'd prefer to make a monetary donation to go towards the purchase of books, feel free to bring cash or a check payable to Grace UMC.
PENTECOST: WEAR RED!
Pentecost Sunday (May 20th) is a day of celebration and one of the principal days of the Christian year, celebrated on the 50th day after Easter. (Pentecoste is a Greek word that means "fiftieth day.")

On this day we commemorate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and others who were gathered together in Jerusalem following Jesus' death. Pentecost marks the beginning of the Christian church, even often referred to as its birthday - hence the celebration.

One way we celebrate is to wear red, a color representing the "holy fire" of the Holy Spirit that "burns" within us. So, join us at Grace next Sunday, May 20th, for a wonderful celebration in worship and wear red!
DAY CAMPS: GROW SPIRITUALLY, SOCIALLY, INDIVIDUALLY
You can find a day camp for just about anything. What about one focused on forming faith and friendships?

Grow Day Camps puts 90+ years of experience into creating an environment where every moment - whether in morning chapel or 20 feet up a tree - is about practicing faith in Christian community.

Grow is setting up camp at Grace UMC the week of July 2-6! Learn more and register your rising 1st-6th grader at growdaycamps.org.
