PENTECOST: WEAR RED!
This Sunday is Pentecost, a day of celebration and one of the principal days of the Christian year, celebrated on the 50th day after Easter. (Pentecoste is a Greek word that means "fiftieth day.")

On this day we commemorate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and others who were gathered together in Jerusalem following Jesus' death. Pentecost marks the beginning of the Christian church, even often referred to as its birthday - hence the celebration.

One way we celebrate is to wear red, a color representing the "holy fire" of the Holy Spirit that "burns" within us. So, join us at Grace next Sunday, May 20th, for a wonderful celebration in worship and wear red!
MAY MEAL MAKERS
Join Grace's Meal Makers Ministry,  Sunday, May  27th , after worship, as we prepare meals for Action Ministries' Women's Community Kitchen.

REACHING OUR COMMUNITY'S CHILDREN
We invite you to two (2) of our initial planning meetings for our work with The Matthew Initiative.

These first two meetings will be around our scope of work, continuing to discern how we will reach the children of our community.

Please join us on Sundays, June 3rd and 24th, 2pm at Grace. Questions? Please contact Pastor Stacey (pastor at graceonponce.org).
