HV &The Pacific Symphony's Class Act Program
Returns to HV, tomorrow....

Harbor View is a proud annual participant in The Pacific Symphony’s elementary school classical music partnership program, Class Act . The program celebrates its 23rd Season in 2017-18 exploring “Trials to Triumph” - featuring the music of Ludwig van Beethoven . This year Class Act will bring to HV assemblies , workshops , a Family Night Concert ( 21st March at 7PM in the MPR ), and a very special field trip to Segerstrom Hall for 1 st -6 th Graders to see and hear the whole Pacific Symphony perform live on the Concert Hall's stage. HV's Pacific Symphony representative musician this year is violinist, MarlaJoy Weisshaar. Each classroom will have their own private lesson with Mrs. Weisshaar - learning about her violin, what it’s like to play in the orchestra, and the life and music of Beethoven. (Side note: Mrs. Weisshaar is a former HV Parent!) As a perk of the program our families are invited to enjoy discounts to both Pacific Symphony concerts and their Saturday Family Musical Mornings throughout this Season. Our participation in this wonderful program is funded by your donations to the HVPFO and is supported by Teacher Representatives , Mrs. Borg and Mrs. Caskey, and parent volunteers , Angela Gossen, Glenda Bobko and Erin Crane. Thank you!
