Friday Night Peace Walk with OCO
Friday, May 11th, 6:30-8pm
Join Rabbi David in this walk for peace in our own community led by Oakland Community Organizations’ Ceasefire campaign. The Ceasefire campaign is many-sided including the training and mobilization of neighborhood peace interveners, the retraining of police, and a weekly peace walk with local congregations to support a “culture of peace and healing” in neighborhoods at risk. Housing Needed
A beloved immigrant family that a Kehilla accompaniment team has been supporting for a year and a half needs a new place to live beginning in June. The husband works full-time, the wife part-time, and they can afford about $1500/month. Learn more here
Donate Supplies to Help
People Experiencing Homelessness
Please help Tayla Husbands-Hankin support our homeless population by donating  tents, blankets, clothing (both used and new supplies welcome!), tarps, and new underwear & socks are greatly appreciated! A large box is located by the sanctuary door at Kehilla. Please fill it with listed items only. Tayla will pick up the items periodically and deliver them to people who need them. Questions? Marva Zohar and the Land for Women’s Healing

An evening with Marva Zohar, founder of the non-governmental organization Ohela, which advocates for comprehensive, compassionate services for survivors of sexual violence around the world and in Israel.
