The Story Classes

Rev. Stan Beard is leading a class on Wednesdays at 11:00am in Fellowship Hall called, "The Rest of the Story", it's presented by Growing Together in Faith, and open to everyone.

Women's Bible Study taught by Cynthia Blase. Wednesday mornings from 9:15-10:45am, LC3. For women of all ages, childcare will be provided with an RSVP.

Online Maps and Biblical Dictionary: Paul has recommended two resources as we read through The Story. Here is a large collection of Biblical Maps, that help show the areas we are reading about; and here is an in depth Bible dictionary.

Blue Christmas Service of Remembrance - This Afternoon
Friday, December 1, at 3 pm. The holidays can be a difficult time for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Recognizing this, we invite you to gather with us for a Blue Christmas Service of Remembrance. Reception in Life Center, Room 1, followed by the service of remembrance in the Chapel. Clippers With The San Diego Street Choir - Dec. 15th
Give your heart a Christmas gift!  Come experience the San Diego Street Choir in Concert for an uplifting program of Christmas and Christian music directed by LJPC Worship and Arts Director Ron Bolles. The San Diego Street Choir - Changing Lives Through Music - We Celebrate - We smile - We sing. The San Diego Street Choir Christmas Program is open to the entire congregation. If you plan to come for dinner, please purchase a ticket at the table on the patio after church. The theme will be Christmas and the meal will be prepared and served by the Clippers Board Members. The main course will be Filet Mignon with Bordelaise Sauce over Garlic Mash Potatoes. Dessert will be Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce. You may also RSVP and reserve a ticket for purchase at the door by contacting Tom or Marilyn Wickstrom by clicking HERE or by calling 858-569-4861. If you just want to hear the San Diego Street Choir perform, please come at 7:30 pm. Seating will be provided.
Christmas Concert - Dec. 10th 4:00 and 7:00pm
Join the LJPC family for a joyful celebration of the "Many Moods of Christmas!" The Chancel Choir, Children's Choirs, Handbell Choir will create a moving retelling of the Christmas story through song and scripture in two performances of this annual concert, a favorite in the community. The concert will feature many carols, including Suite Three of Robert Shaw's iconic "Many Moods" collections, as well as Vivaldi's well-known setting of Mary's song for soloists and choir. The congregation will also lift its voices in song in this program accompanied by a professional orchestra. Come join us for the "feel-good" concert of the year!
Adopt A Family/Fill A Bag - Due By Dec. 7th
We have refugee families supported by our Mission Partners who have little means to celebrate Christmas. If you or your Growth Group would like to Adopt A Family for Christmas, or Fill A Bag with needed supplies(from cleaning to diapers to hygiene), please stop by the table in the courtyard this Sunday or look in the Mission Partner Catalog, Michellew@ljpres.org . Filled bags need to be returned by Dec. 7.
