"Do what you will, withdraw to the mountains, sit in a forest, you cannot live in isolation. You can live only in relationship, and as long as relationship is not understood, there can be no right action. Right action comes in understanding relationship, which reveals the process of oneself. Self-knowledge is the beginning of wisdom, it is a field of affection, warmth, and love, therefore a field rich with flowers."  - K

This week our 9th-11th grade students and their teachers planned one of the school's favorite days of the year... Field Day. Nearly all of the campus came out for activities, sunshine, and camaraderie. See photos of the day on our Facebook page. In addition, our junior high students camped in Matilija Canyon for their annual rite-of-passage overnight trip. Finally, our high school students were inspiring at the spring High School Showcase... See the latest photos here. The energy, joy, and thoughtfulness of our students shine in weeks like this.

Please note there will be no school on Monday 5/28.

Re-envisioning Education, and the Craft of Teaching and Learning.

June 22nd - July 1st, 2012

Re-envisioning Education, and the Craft of Teaching and Learning

Uncovering and questioning our assumptions about teaching and learning.

Starting with the questions that we grapple with in our daily lives as educators, the program builds on the insights participants come to from their own deep looking and shared inquiry during the program. We shift from seeking answers to finding key questions that transform the way we see (and respond to) our educational challenges.
