Our Vision Statement
Old North Church is an inclusive Christian Community called to bring to life God's love and grace by sharing the gospel for this time and place; extending the hospitality Christ showed; embodying God's love and compassion to those in need; and growing together in our understanding and experience of the Holy Spirit at work in our midst.

Please note: The children do not have to participate in choir to be a part of the program.

Burns Supper
Friday, January 26, 2018
Join us for an Old North tradition and step into the Hall for a Scottish village ceilidh.  It all starts at 6:30pm with a hosted reception, followed by the ceremonial piping in of the haggis and a fine Scottish dinner.  With pleasure we welcome back Elias Alexander, pipes and fiddle, accompanist Neil Perlman and our own gifted vocalist Julianne Gearhart for an after dinner entertainment inspired by the life and music of birthday boy Robert Burns (258 and still remembered fondly). The whole finished off with a jig and a reel.  Reserve now at the all inclusive price of $60 by emailing [email protected]

 206 Pledges, $435,033
Thank you!
Please send us your pledge card as soon as possible so we can complete our 2018 budget. Our pledges this year are behind last year's campaign, and we are also short of our $500,000 goal. This goal is approximately 80% of the Church's revenue. A mailing has just gone out with a pledge card, and we will be making phone calls in an attempt to reach our goal. You may pledge online at: www.onchurch.org/donate.

ONC Organizational Structure
(Church Roster)
Thanks to all who consented to be part of the inaugural class of board members in the new organization structure for ONC.  These are the people who will help shape the future direction of our church by their creative and dedicated work.
A preliminary roster of board members is available by clicking here.

A few openings remain on the Prudential and Christian Formation Ministry Boards. The Nominating Committee for filling board positions, consisting of Dara Vanremoortel and Dave Hostetter, has nearly exhausted their ideas for additional board members.  Dave and Dara will welcome volunteers, especially a few more men and relatively newer church member to ensure a diversity of ideas.

Please contact Dara or Dave for more information, they would love to hear from all potential volunteers. (Dave Hostetter, 781-631-3216, [email protected]; Dara VanRemoortel, 781-631-8336, [email protected])

Outreach Ministry Update
The Outreach Ministry Board distributes the tithe from our pledges and individual donations to both local community-based programs and international organizations that we consider are making outstanding contributions to promoting Christian values of giving and service. Some, like Lifebridge's work for the homeless and The Marblehead Counseling Center, have been supported for years. In recent years, we have built up our support for groups working on critical social issues such as domestic abuse - HAWC - and the Opioid crisis - Learn to Cope. In addition, volunteers from ONC have long assisted at Lifebridge in preparing meals and in collecting food for the Marblehead Food Pantry. Overseas, ONC has signed a covenant to assist with the development of the Pholela Ministry in Kwa-Zulu Natal province in South Africa. We have also made regular donations to Midwives for Haiti and Intercultural Nursing in the Dominican Republic. In addition to these activities, we have funds reserved for helping members of the local community in emergencies and for assisting with relief efforts after major domestic and overseas disasters. In the last few months, we have donated over $8300 to those assisting in flood and hurricane relief in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico and for those recovering from wildfires in California. Over the last 18 months we have joined with other churches and the Temple to support an asylum seeking family in the Refugee Immigration Ministry. We are now considering future donations to programs and organizations for our Spring distribution of funds in May 2018. We are always interested in hearing about new opportunities and worthy causes to support near and far from ONC.  If you know of some activity or group that deserves our attention, please contact either Tom Day ([email protected]) or Paul Hare ([email protected]) of the Outreach Ministry Board. Thank you very much for your support.
ONC Family Ski Trip!
Almost 60 friends from Old North Church enjoyed community and fun in the New White Mountains last weekend. We enjoyed bonfires, ice-skating, snow shoeing, skiing, snow football, flashlight tag, drinking cocoa, eating delicious food, watching movies and more in Jackson, New Hampshire. At each meal, we had a spiritual pause to offer our gratitude to God for the blessings of faith and family. On Sunday morning, our children led us in worship in an outdoor chapel in the woods. A big thank you to Mark Roberge and his right wing, Marpa Eager, for organizing this amazing event.

Another Successful House of Blues Night!

Last Saturday's House of Blues concert featuring Holly Cameron and the Chris Fritz Band was a rousing success for the second year in a row!  Not only was it a wonderful time (as can be seen in the photos), but it also raised just over $2,000 for the church.  Thanks go to Holly for coordinating and performing and to the Old North men's brewing group for brewing and serving their beer at the concert.
