By following Jesus and reaching out to others, we seek God's transformation of ourselves and our world.
Greetings!
In Monopoly, we know we’re doing well when we have lots of money, houses, and hotels. In Checkers, we know we’re doing well when we have more of our opponent's pieces than they have of ours. And when we play Follow the Leader, we know we’re doing well when we do what they do and go where they go. How do we know we’re doing well in real life, though? Is it by how much money and property we have? Is it how much we’re defeating our opponents? Or is it when we do what our leaders do, and go where they go? And what does that look like if we claim to follow Jesus Christ?

Our message series, “Follow the Leader: Will We Play?” continues this Sunday by looking at Jesus’ measures of success in Matthew 5:1-12. Invite a friend!
Thank you for your generosity!
Our Christmas Offering will be a blessing!
The total we received for our Christmas offering was $11,603. This offering will support two important ministries:

  • Pender's Hypothermia Center, March 11-18
  • UMCOR Hurricane Relief

Thank you from Vivian Panaggio
THANK YOU to all the wonderful people at Pender for the cards and best wishes on my retirement. For me, retirement from Pender was a difficult decision. I was blessed with a job that I loved. I did not struggle to get up and go to work every day, but looked forward to it. Not many people can say that. I never imagined I would stay at my job for 44 years and come to call the people I worked amongst, my second family. But, that is truly what happened. We will always hold the congregation and staff of Pender close to our hearts and I thank you for the wonderful years and memories you have provided me with. Ron & I still look forward to joining the “Primetimers” on their get-togethers and visiting with the staff and congregation. I’m not saying Good Bye, but I’ll be seeing you!  God Bless you all, Love Vivian
