Sunday School in July!
Genesis Bible Study & Preaching Series this July
Teach Sunday School this Fall
From the Rector

Dear St. Patrick's,

Grace and peace. This is an exciting week at St. Patrick's. On Monday, the Rev. Dr. Janet Zimmerman joined the clergy staff. She will serve the Parish as the Day School Chaplain. Janet brings many different gifts and talents to St. Patrick's including experience in education, pastoral care, and youth work. I hope that you will take some time to get to know her and extend a warm welcome.

We were able to order enough chairs to replace half of the current ones. Thank you for your support of this worthy project that will usher in the second 100 years at St. Patrick's (list of donors listed below). The first set of chairs will arrive in early October. Please consider dedicating a chair if you haven't already (Online Dedication Form ).

If you or someone important to you is interested in being baptized, please note the upcoming baptismal dates at St. Patrick's: Sunday, September 4, Sunday, November 6, and Sunday, January 8. If you are interested, please let me know (kurt@stpatrickschurchdc.org ).

Both Andrea and I are enjoying the July weekly Bible study on the Genesis story that is part of the Sunday lectionary. If you have time either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, please join us.

If you have a moment, please write a review of St. Patrick's on Yelp . If you have more time, search for St. Patrick's Episcopal Church using a search engine and make comments on the various "business" pages. This is an easy way to spread the news about our parish.

Faithfully,

Music Update

This week for our Offertory music we have a sweet contemporary song, "Thy Word," made popular by Amy Grant a few years back.  Lesley Riddle and Nancy Tait are here to sing it.  Don't forget -- We will have a Youth Music Series on Sunday mornings in August and hope you will consider sharing some of your music with us.  Just let us know when you will be in town and what you have ready to play and we'll schedule you for a music slot during our worship service.
