March in the July 4th Parade
Sunday School in July!
Genesis Bible Study & Preaching Series this July
March with St. Patrick's in the 4th of July Parade!

On Monday, July 4th, we will march in the Palisades Community Parade.  Meet in the East Lot at 10:15 am for Doughnuts, Bagels, and Coffee. Bring bicycles and skateboards to decorate.  Wear red, white, and blue OR St. Patrick's green and white.  We'll walk behind the Rector's red convertible and our St. Patrick's banner.  The parade begins at 11 am and follows a route that concludes at MacArthur Blvd. and Dana Place, NW.

We'll be collecting wrapped, hard candies to toss to the crowds as we march.  Please bring in your candy donations (no melty chocolates, please) to the bin outside the Nave on Sunday, or with you on the 4th.

Prayer List

We pray for all those at summer camp this summer including our Rector Kurt Gerhard who is the camp chaplain this week at Camp Wright on Kent Island in the Diocese of Easton, and the 8 St. Patrick's kids who are also at camp this week.

We pray for James Jacobs who died in April, and whose memorial service is at St. Patrick's on Friday, and for his family and friends, especially his nephew Steve Durand, and his great-niece Dana Hough.

We pray for Maria Tejada on the 1-year anniversary of her death as we celebrate her life in a memorial service at St. Patrick's on Sunday afternoon.  We pray for her friends and family, especially the Tejada and Gamarra families.

We give thanks for the upcoming marriage of Kevin Hylton and Jennie Gross who will be married this Sunday in Connecticut, and for Carol Hylton, proud mother of the groom.

Music Update
Amanda Brown
Amanda Brown sings at St. Patrick's

Soloist Amanda Brown is with us this Sunday to sing some American music for the 4th of July weekend.  "A Simple Song" by Leonard Bernstein and a gospel hymn, "Jesus remembers when others forget" by Thomas A. Dorsey (the preacher's kid, not the band leader!) will cover a broad spectrum of music written in the good old U.S. of A.!

As always, we look forward to welcoming our own Amanda Brown back to St. Patrick's.
