Prayer List

We give thanks and praise to God on the occasion of Henry McQueen's ordination to the diaconate last Sunday, April 22nd, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Rev. Henry McQueen graduates Virginia Theological Seminary later this month and will also conclude his time serving as St. Patrick's seminarian.

We pray for The Rev. Betty McWhorter who is recovering from abdominal surgery.

Bozzuti-Jones Creation ImageSunday School Children Explore the Story of Creation (Genesis 1-2)

As leaves unfold and azaleas bloom, children will study the story of Creation. The Christian story of Creation can be found in the Bible in the Book of Genesis (which literally means "beginning"). Children will learn about the days of Creation and what was created on each day. More importantly, children will learn that God is the source of all life, and that life is GOOD! God wants us to enjoy and celebrate life and the world God has given us.

Workshops include: 1) Outdoor Expedition; 2) Kitchen Workshop; 3) Create-Your-Own Creature; and 4) Storytelling.

Please thank the following volunteers

who make Sunday School happen at St. Patrick's:

Owen Donley

Jocelyn Brown Hall

Theresa Luchsinger

Music at St. Patrick's

Our GALA "Community Sing" will be led by the Cantoris and Jubilate Deo choirs

so you will have plenty of support to sing along.

We'll also have Scott Tiemann back with us on Drums and Vince McCool on Trumpet

so we can all make a joyful noise!

Don't you want to belt out some Broadway tunes and other favorites right here in our Nave?

Plan to invite family and friends for this afternoon treat.

Those Famous Ribs are Coming Back!

Keith Powell has organized the Ribmasters to put on a cookout with those famous ribs on Saturday, May 5th from 4pm to 6pm here at St. Patrick's. These tickets were part of the St. Patrick's Church Auction Community Web, but there are a few more spaces at $40 a piece. jacobs dreamEncountering God through Dreams

The Bible is filled with people who dream: Jacob, Joseph, The Magi, and Pilate's wife, just to name a few. During the month of May, the Women's Bible Study will read a book about dreams and how reflecting on them can be a potential source of healing and a starting point for prayer. All women of St. Patrick's are invited: Wednesdays, May 9, 16, 23, & 30, 9:30-11 am in the Church Library.

Knitters! After the 10am Service this Week!

Bring your needles and let's meet this Sunday after the 10am service. We have a nice stack of 9x9 squares gathered to piece together into lap blankets, so bring what you've been working on so we can see what we've done!

Ready to learn or to join us for this ministry? Look for us in the Nave after the service.
