Music
Lord's PrayerIn this week's Gospel, we hear Jesus instructing us on how to pray in what we know as "The Lord's Prayer." With such a significant text, there have been quite a number of solos and choral anthems written using these powerful words. Our soloists, Suzanne Carter and Jean-Luc Princivil will give us two different versions on Sunday. Suzanne will sing the most well-known, that of Albert Malotte.

Disney celMalotte led an interesting life, composing scores for Disney shorts in the 30's, writing dozens of songs - including setting the Scout Oath to music, accompanying silent movies at the organ, and trying his hand at amateur golfing, piloting and even boxing-once going in the ring with Jack Dempsey. Malotte was indeed a colorful character who has given us a musical gem.
