Our Weekly Blast!

Looking Ahead!
Looking ahead to Sunday
There is a built-in advantage to being Episcopalian in that we follow a pre-determined set of Bible passages, called the Lectionary, to be read in service every Sunday. That means you can know ahead of time what it is you'll hear read and preached in church.
Starting this week we will begin listing the readings to be read. A good practice you may find helpful is to look ahead to Sunday by reading one or more of the passages of Scripture. By simply familiarizing yourself with the passage you can gain significantly more insight into the Bible, and thus, into your own spiritual life. Try it!

Mary Park
Mary Park Retirement
Reception Friday, Aug 11th, 11:00AM
Dear Parishioners,
Our long-tenured parish secretary Mary Park has decided to retire her position at the parish. Her last day with us will be Friday, August 11th.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Mary for her many years of faith service to our church, and especially to our Lord. She has served two different Rectors and has seen a whole host of changes take place during her long tenure here. I am grateful for not only the role she has played keeping us all on task, but also the manner in which she helped me get up to speed quickly when I first came aboard in June.
We will have a celebration for Mary on her last day with us, Friday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall with treats and refreshments. Please do come and give Mary your well wishes. I will make a future follow-up announcement soon.
