Life and Legacy
How Will You Be Remembered?

You've lived your whole life with purpose, cared for others and made a difference in our Jewish community. Now, you can leave a legacy for the future of Temple Beth Hatfiloh.
By leaving a gift to Temple Beth Hatfiloh in your will or trust, you can be remembered for generations to come as someone who made a difference sustaining the Jewish community in Olympia.
After providing for your family, you can leave your mark by making a gift. No gift is too small and it costs you nothing now but a pledge.
To learn more, please contact Charles Shelan at (360) 352-1354 or cshelan@comcast.net.

Talmud Study
Saturday, November 25
9:30 am

The Talmud is a compendium of law and lore that is the basis on which biblical interpretation and contemporary Jewish practice rest. Rabbi Seth will lead us as we dive deep into this complex and fascinating text.
Give a Challah
With the closing of Bagel Brothers, TBH has lost our weekly source of challah since they so generously donated two loaves every week for us to use at our Shabbat service. Now we are looking for something to fill the gap. Are you a challah baker who might be able to commit to bake challah on an occasional basis? Do you want to learn how? Are you interested in a challah making party so we can stock the freezer? Or if you have other ideas, please contact the TBH office!

Jemmy Joe, who, along with his friend Guire McGuire, produces the podcasts "Olympia Pop Rocks" (on local arts and culture) and "The Olympia Standard" (on local politics).

Julie Kinn who produces "The Station Wagon Podcast," in which she and her brother for two weeks give up something that we all take for granted, then talk about their experience. She is also a host of "Meddling Kids," a podcast about all things Scooby-Doo. (And a member of TBH!)

Enjoy a buffet-style vegetarian dinner provided by locally owned Nineveh Catering. Each menu is specially created just for TBH! Dinner is $10 per person.

Reconstructionism Today
Recon Israel Trip
March 2018

This trip is not a typical "Israel 101" trip. It's themes are arts/music and politics, as well as complexity and encounters with different segments of Israeli society. An optional 3-day pre-trip add-on is going to be available for people who want a little classic "Israel 101 / tourism" experience first. There's also a possibility of an optional one-day add-on to Bethlehem in the West Bank, for a tour led by one of Mejdi Tours' Palestinian guides. Click here to read more about this travel opportunity!

2018  Reconstructionist Convention

The RRC/Jewish Reconstructionist Communities is planning a movement-wide convention in Philadelphia, November 15-18, 2018 .

We want the convention to be a meaningful and celebratory experience for everyone, and your input and ideas will help us plan a great program. Please take a moment to click on our virtual suggestion box to tell us what you'd like to see.
