If you have any comments about Rabbi Roos that you would like to submit for the committee's consideration, please email them to him at littsinai@verizon.net before Monday, July 10. The identity of commenters will be kept confidential by the committee, but anonymous comments will not be accepted. Thank you.
Refugee Resettlement Program Update
The Saadat family is staying busy, as they acclimate to life in America.  Abdullbari takes ESL classes at Montgomery College every day; Zeya Gul receives in-home English language tutoring five days a week; the girls are having fun with our high school volunteer "counselors"; Omran, who is growing like the proverbial weed, has been signed up for pre-K; and baby Ekraam, a smile perpetually on his face, is trying to figure out how to crawl!  As per our message of last week, we're hoping to find Abdullbari a job soon to facilitate his path to independence. The Temple Sinai "village" of volunteer has been a key to the success of this undertaking. If you would like to participate, but haven't signed up yet, please contact Andrea . As noted last week, we still need additional "counselors" to fill in gaps in the summer schedule. Also, if you are interested in helping some of the many non-sponsored refugee families in the area, who make up the vast majority of refugees, please contact Catherine . She can describe the many opportunities available, including tutoring and mentoring.
