Grants from the Eugene Lipman Social Action and Tzedakah Fund
Applications Due February 15
The Social Action Committee makes small grants each year, giving priority to projects in areas our congregation has identified as important: immigration, refugees, education, housing, homelessness, jobs and food/hunger. Additional consideration is given to organizations or groups with relationships with Temple Sinai and temple members. The Committee will also consider other innovative and promising proposals. Potential grantees must demonstrate effectiveness in achieving their goals. Past grantees have included, among others, Sinai House, the Summer Book Fair project, Project Mensch, a Reform congregation in Honduras, and a math tutoring program at Neval Elem. School in DC.

Applications this year are due February 15. The Committee will consider the applications at its March 1, 2018 meeting. Email Barbara Kraft for more details.
