As you turn in your pledge form this year, be reminded there are many ways to give your contributions. The easiest is to allow Trinity to deduct your contribution monthly from your banking institution. This does not cost you anything, and we do this on the 18th or 25th of the month, whichever date you prefer.  Online through Realm or text giving is a very easy option for you. You do not pay any extra fees, as Trinity is happy to pay the fee of .35 per transaction plus the extra 3% of the value of your gift the bank charges us to do that online transaction. See Laurie in the office if you would be interested in getting more information. Offering envelopes (for those that have chosen to "pledge") will be available in the Church to pick up on December 3.

Prayer Requests Bowl: A glass bowl saying "Prayer Requests" is available for our guests at Noon Lunch.  It is on a card table along with paper and pens in the back of McCracken Hall.  If one of our guests has a prayer on their heart, they can write it down and put it in the bowl.  If anyone sees a prayer request in the bowl, they can take it and make that prayer a part of their own prayer life.  I'm inviting anyone in the congregation or visiting Trinity to use the prayer requests bowl to submit their own prayers or to take prayers out of the bowl and pray over them.  If you have questions or suggestions, please contact or .

An Exchange Student at Lee High Needs Your Help! The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) has a student attending Lee High School from Germany. His host family is no longer able to host and he will need a host family for the remainder of the year, starting at the beginning of January. He is a very good student and has good grades. He has played the piano for 10 and enjoys playing. Also, the student likes sports very much—especially basketball and soccer. He has his own spending money and health insurance. For information about hosting please contact local coordinator, Cindy Miller, at or (540) 817-8851.

Thank you all for a splendid and blessed evening!  For a beautiful Advent Lessons and Carols concert, and for all those who helped with the reception following...the delectable edibles, the hands that prepared the hall, and the hands (and backs) that cleaned-up after the festivities....thank you. May we receive and return the loving gaze of Christ throughout this Advent season and the coming year. Sincerely, Carrie Tucker

The Playing of the Merry Organ Concert, December 31 at 5 p.m.: The Playing of the Merry Organ concert has evolved into a Christmas tradition for many in our parish and the surrounding community. This year’s concert will feature Staunton native Benjamin Fairfield on trumpet, accompanied by Virginia Bolena. Ben is currently located in central Texas and is in demand throughout the country as a performing artist. Ben and Virginia will play familiar carol arrangements and accompany the audience in the singing of several beloved carols.  This year’s concert falls on New Year’s Eve…a perfect start to your New Year’s celebrations later that evening!

CP/I Support Group: The Chronic Pain/Illness Support Group will not meet in the month of December. We will begin meeting Thursday, January 4 at 10:30am in the Board Room of the Staunton Public Library. All are welcome. Contact Muffie Newell for more information.
