Gift Cards for the Christmas Eve Outreach Dinner:
During this Advent season (or before if you wish), we ask that you consider making someone else's Christmas a little brighter by helping us purchase 100 gift cards for our noon lunch guests that attend the Christmas Eve Outreach Dinner. Envelopes are provided at the back of the church for monetary donations. Please place the envelope in the collection plate or drop by the office no later than Sunday, Dec. 17. Money collected purchases gifts for all the children in attendance as well as gift cards for the adults.
(Indicate on your check memo that this contribution is for “Outreach Gift Cards”)
A BIG thank you to all who took tags off the giving tree! All the tags have been claimed and so we moved the tree over to McCracken Hall and decorated it to share with our Noon Lunch Guests! Please remember to return your gift preferably to the office copy room by Sunday, Dec. 17. - Deidre Jones
An Exchange Student at Lee High Needs Your Help!
The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) has a student attending Lee High School from Germany. His host family is no longer able to host and he will need a host family for the remainder of the year, starting at the beginning of January. He is a very good student and has good grades. He has played the piano for 10 and enjoys playing. Also, the student likes sports very much—especially basketball and soccer. He has his own spending money and health insurance. For information about hosting please contact local coordinator, Cindy Miller, at
or (540) 817-8851.
Thank you all for a splendid and blessed evening!
For a beautiful Advent Lessons and Carols concert, and for all those who helped with the reception following...the delectable edibles, the hands that prepared the hall, and the hands (and backs) that cleaned-up after the festivities....thank you.
May we receive and return the loving gaze of Christ throughout this Advent season and the coming year.
Sincerely, Carrie Tucker

The Playing of the Merry Organ Concert, December 31 at 5 p.m.:
The Playing of the Merry Organ concert has evolved into a Christmas tradition for many in our parish and the surrounding community. This year’s concert will feature Staunton native Benjamin Fairfield on trumpet, accompanied by Virginia Bolena. Ben is currently located in central Texas and is in demand throughout the country as a performing artist. Ben and Virginia will play familiar carol arrangements and accompany the audience in the singing of several beloved carols. This year’s concert falls on New Year’s Eve…a perfect start to your New Year’s celebrations later that evening!
