Trinity's Annual Advent Event: Join us Sunday, December 3 at 10am in McCracken Hall. We will gather for fellowship and fun as we create Advent wreaths and decorate ornaments, wrapping paper, and cookies!  Please give as generously, as you are able, to our free will offering for wreath supplies. $10 suggested donation.

Browse the Staunton Senior Center’s Holiday Bazaar …You’ll be glad you did! Offering fine quality gifts, holiday décor, and much more, just in time for your Christmas shopping needs! Beginning on Monday, December 4 through Wednesday, December 13 (Monday through Thursday the first week and Monday through Wednesday the second week) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will also be a beautiful Christmas quilt for raffle, custom made by the SSC Quilters Group! SSC is located at 300 Churchville Ave. For more information and for raffle tickets, please call 886-4634.

HAVE YOU TURNED IN YOUR PLEDGE CARD? Please send it into the office this week if you have not already done so. And don’t forget - also send in your Time & Talent Form.  We have already had a few wonderful people placed in some volunteer positions, and offerings of some talents (such as baking, gardening, carpentry…) that we will use someday!  Did you know that you can have the church office automatically withdraw your pledge payments each month from your account so you don’t have to worry about it? See Laurie Clements in the office - and she can help you with this!

Liturgical Calendars: Calendars showing the liturgical colors and saint days are available in the office for $5 each.

Memorials for Christmas Flowers: Before Christmas, the Altar Guild collects Flower Memorials Gifts to purchase the flower decorations for the Christmas services and to fund raise for the Altar Guild Ministry. Memorials may be given as a memorial, or to honor a friend or a child. There is no set amount. If you would like to make a donation, please use the envelopes found at the back of the church and in the copy room of the parish house or submit your memorial via our online form. Go to our website, www.trinitystaunton.org , then hover over the menu heading of “Members” and choose “Christmas Memorials” from the drop down menu. You may then send your donation by mail. Please return your gift to the Trinity office no later than Monday, December 11.

Gift Cards for the Christmas Eve Outreach Dinner: During this Advent season (or before if you wish), we ask that you consider making someone else's Christmas a little brighter by helping us purchase 100 gift cards for our noon lunch guests that attend the Christmas Eve Outreach Dinner. Envelopes will be provided at the back of the church for monetary donations. Please place the envelope in the collection plate or drop by the office no later than Sunday, Dec. 17.

Prayer Requests Bowl: A glass bowl saying "Prayer Requests" is available for our guests at Noon Lunch.  It is on a card table along with paper and pens in the back of McCracken Hall.  If one of our guests has a prayer on their heart, they can write it down and put it in the bowl.  If anyone sees a prayer request in the bowl, they can take it and make that prayer a part of their own prayer life.  I'm inviting anyone in the congregation or visiting Trinity to use the prayer requests bowl to submit their own prayers or to take prayers out of the bowl and pray over them.  If you have questions or suggestions, please contact gingerwarrick0@gmail.com or ctucker59@gmail.com .

Just a reminder to bring your finger foods to the Advent Lessons & Carols reception! A special thank you to those that have contributed to Trinity through a gift of stock. I appreciate it when these types of transactions are made before December. And November is a perfect month to catch up with your pledge! – Laurie Clements

Thank you note received from SACRA: "You have done it again! Trinity was the number one church in financial gifts to SACRA for our fiscal year ending September 30th. You gave $13,419.57. That is incredible!... You are truly a Church with a heart for the poor. May God continue to use you to his glory in all your ministries." - SACRA

Women's Bible Study begins Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00 in the Foster Room. We will discuss the book "40 Days of Decrease" by Alicia Chole. I suggest reading the first 7 days for discussion on Jan. 10. If you have questions, please contact Carrie Tucker at 540.230.0787 or ctucker59@gmail.com

As you turn in your pledge form this year, be reminded there are many ways to give your contributions. The easiest is to allow Trinity to deduct your contribution monthly from your banking institution. This does not cost you anything, and we do this on the 18th or 25th of the month, whichever date you prefer. Online through Realm or text giving is a very easy option for you. You do not pay any extra fees, as Trinity is happy to pay the fee of .35 per transaction plus the extra 3% of the value of your gift the bank charges us to do that online transaction. See Laurie in the office if you would be interested in getting more information. Offering envelopes (for those that have chosen to "pledge") will be available in the Church to pick up on December 3.
