Veterans Resource Center
Documentary Screening: Wartorn

The Veterans Resource Center is hosting a screening of the documentary film Wartorn, which explores the history of Post-Traumatic Stress and its effect on military service members.  The screening will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 31 in the Veteran's Resource Center Conference Room, and will be followed by a panel discussion with UNCG student veterans. There will be no charge and the event will be open to the public.

2017 NC Health Professions Grad School Tour

The North Carolina Health Careers Expo, is a state-wide tour that brings graduate programs in the health professions to universities across the state. The tour will stop at UNCG on Wednesday, March 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and typically brings 40-50 graduate programs to meet with interested students. This year, the event has been renamed for UNCG the NC Health Professions Grad School Tour, to increase understanding of the event for students.

Join Recreation & Wellness on Monday, March 27 at 6 p.m. in the EUC Maple Room for a screening of Audrie & Daisy.  Similar to 2015’s “The Hunting Ground,” Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk’s film focuses on the victims of rape and other sexual crimes, demonstrating how those assaults were just the beginning of their nightmares.

The Elliott University Center will host its fourth and final Red Cross Blood Drive of the 2016-17 academic year on Tuesday, April 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Cone Ballroom.  

Schedule your donation appointment today and help the EUC reach its 250-pint goal!  For those wishing to donate double red blood cells, the Red Cross is currently accepting only blood types A negative; B negative; O positive; and O negative.

Be sure to come prepared when giving blood.  Have a light meal and plenty to drink.  Bring your Red Cross donor card (optional), driver’s license or two other forms of identification.  And bring the names of any medications you are currently taking.

Stress GPS is a two-part workshop where students will learn to examine the difference between stress, distress, and crisis in their lives and will be exposed to appropriate actions to address each.
