Federal Immigration Action

Recent changes to immigration enforcement, including the categories of people prioritized for deportation, have specifically exempted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). According to news reports, President Trump is expected to sign a new refugee and immigration executive order shortly. The new order reportedly clarifies that the directive applies to visa but not green card holders; retains travel restrictions on the same seven Muslim-majority countries; and includes a "phase in" period for parts of the order to take effect.
