TODDLER PROGRAM (not at all schools)
This week the JumpBunch Toddler Program was geared to Paddle sport activities! This was excellent for eye/hand coordination and coordination skills. For our Sports Exploration segment, we passed out cute, colorful and foamy lollipop paddles to each child. Next we had them mimic us as we moved the paddle around our waist, up and down, or through our legs. This was great fun! Then we passed out bean bags to the children and challenged them to balance them on their paddles. From here we placed an Agility Ladder on the floor and had the children walk on the rungs. All the while we were very animated and excited with them! Progression/regression steps were included as necessary. Tennis anyone?
PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
This week the JumpBunch Preschool/Kindergarten Program introduced Paddle Sports and Tennis, and enhanced your child's eye/hand coordination, balance and gross motor skills. Our "racquets" were foamy and colorful "lollipop" paddles. Each child received a paddle, and we showed how to do two-hand, one-hand, palm-up and palm-down holds. This was done while standing on one foot, squatting, walking, and other ways designed to improve their body balance. After these drills, we passed out foam Tennis balls and moved on to the Tennis swing, demonstrating over-head swings, plus moving the paddle from hand to hand. Our Fitness Course completed this very special JumpBunch day!
