Market Days at the Chamber THIS Saturday, July 18th from 8am to 1pm!

Market Days returns Saturday, July 18, with an assortment of vendors selling everything from homegrown fruits and vegetables to furniture and artwork.

The event will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the front lawn of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce on McMeans Avenue.


 

"Market Days has been building momentum and I'm happy to say we have a variety of vendors bringing everything from fresh produce and boiled peanuts to breads, jams, clothing, jewelry and yard sale items," said Kris Angelone, NBCEE Membership and Project Manager. "As always, our Blue Grass Band will be on site with fun entertainment."


 

This month's installment will also include a special activities for children. "We will be having pony rides and story time for the children as well as face painting, games and bubbles," Angelone said. "Our Junior Ambassadors have been instrumental in creating activities for the children with these events, please come out and help support their scholarship program."


 

Story-time will be held at 10 a.m. and noon, led by April Guthas. A food truck will also be on site to sell hamburgers with all the fixings.


 

"There's so much to do and so many great items available, you'll never know what you'll find," Angelone said. Additional Market Days are scheduled for Aug. 15 and September 19.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BAY MINETTE ZONING ORDINANCE

Tickets are now on sale for the Baldwin County High School's Drawdown, set for July 31 at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center in Bay Minette. Tickets are $100 each and includes admission for two adults, dinner, live music, silent auction AND the chance to win $5,000. Tickets can be purchased at the school, through Booster Club members and Bay Minette City Hall.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office Shining Star Camp helps to build life skills, instill confidence and develop self-esteem. The curriculum includes a wide range of activities that incorporates teamwork, physical fitness, and general Sheriff information. We emphasize the importance of physical and mental fitness and teach good citizenship. The Sheriff's Office strives to provide a positive learning experience for children during their summer break. The program is structured to be fun, informative and challenging. It even incorporates a family fun day with a certificate ceremony to give parents, grandparents and guardians the opportunity to share in the experience of what their children have learned through their participation in the camp.
