The Wisconsin State Senate and Wisconsin State Assembly have announced their next set of session days.

The Senate will meet on Tuesday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m.

The Assembly will meet on Tuesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 9 at 1:00 a.m.

Joint Legislative Audit Committee, 10:30 a.m.
  • Audit Report 17-2: State Highway Program, Department of Transportation.
Note: Interested parties can listen to a live broadcast of the audio portion of the hearing on the Legislative Audit Bureau's website here.

Assembly Committee on Environment and Forestry, 1:00 p.m.
  • This is an informational hearing. The Department of Natural Resources will provide an overview of the State's Forestry Industry.
Assembly Committee on Corrections, 10:00 a.m.
  • This is an informational hearing. Testimony will be taken from invited speakers only to provide committee members with an overview of the Department of Corrections and its respective divisions.

Assembly Committee on Health, 10:00 a.m.
  • Assembly Bill 59 - terminology change and corrections for emergency medical technicians and first responders. WCA is monitoring this bill.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR WCA REGIONAL LEGISLATIVE MEETINGS

Each odd-numbered year, the Wisconsin Counties Association holds legislative briefings across the state to educate members on legislative issues affecting counties. 

This year, our legislative briefings will include a discussion on WCA's 2017-2018 Legislative Agenda, a review of the 2017-19 state biennial budget, as well as answer member questions regarding legislative initiatives.

Following please find a list of the dates, times, and locations of the 2017 Regional Legislative Meetings. Please feel free to attend whichever meeting is most convenient for you.
